If you didn’t know that the Tonight Show wasn’t shot in New York, then you probably don’t care a whole lot about how awesome it’ll be to have Jimmy Fallon hosting… with the show right back in the Big Apple!
If you DO care, this news couldn’t get more exciting!!
The show started in 1954 in NYC, so having it come home alongside a major shake-up with the host feels right. Though there’s no firm deal in place quite yet, Jimmy HAS been promised the seat is his — we just need to hear if Leno is out sooner rather than later!
The only problem with this is that we’ve been through all this before, with Conan. Hopefully they don’t screw Jimmy over too! LOLz!
It’s being said that all of this would take effect by fall 2014 at the LATEST. How do we know this? Apparently NBC has quietly begun work on a new studio in its headquarters building at 30 Rock for the new show!
That would be FAB!
The only question then, is one wondering who will be replacing Jimmy! We’ve heard rumblings of Howard Stern, but he’s dismissed them with the notion that he’s paid waaaaay more where he is now. Then, we’ve heard rumors of us taking the helm… but those were started by us!
Ha! Who cares, we’re ready!!
