We haven’t seen a late night shake-up this drastic since, well, the last time Jay Leno retired!
Much to no one’s surprise, each TV host is keeping their sense of humor!
Jimmy Fallon will take over The Tonight Show next year and, judging by tonight’s Late Night monologue, the HIGHlarious host is happier as a hippo to have the responsibilities!!
He joked:
“Hello! Welcome! This is Late Night With Jimmy Fallon — for now. You guys probably heard the news — I├óΓé¼Γäóm going to be taking over The Tonight Show next February! But don’t worry. Until February, our focus is right here on whatever this show is called.”
Ha!
Jay, for his part, took the whole ousting in stride!
In his monologue this evening, he quips:
“Folks, I got to be honest with you, I had a really awkward day today. I had to call David Letterman and tell him he didn’t get The Tonight Show again. Awful! Terrible!”
So calm! So confident! We wonder if he plans to steal back his own show again, LOLz!!
