Burn!
Jimmy Kimmel Live is taking an earlier and more coveted ABC time-slot, but if you think the move would neuter the show’s host you are sorely mistaken!
On a conference call to theoretically discuss his new airtime yesterday, Jimmy Kimmel was totes happy to backstab colleague Jay Leno!
Or, more accurately, he called Jay a hatchet-man!
When responding to a question about whether or not Jimmy Fallon should replace Jay on NBC, Mzr. Kimmel said:
“Jay Leno is not going to be able to stay on television forever, and obviously Jimmy Fallon is the heir apparent, and he├óΓé¼Γäós doing a great job, so it makes sense people would talk like this. That said, you can never count Jay out. He seems to pop up just when you think he├óΓé¼Γäós dead ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ he comes alive and he├óΓé¼Γäós got a hatchet.”
We suspect the metaphorical hatchet Kimmel refers to concerns Jay backstabbing both Conan O’Brien and David Letterman during his Tonight Show tenure.
Yikes!!
The dog-eat-dog world of late night comedy sure is rough RUFF — Ha!!!
