Joey King has suffered facial burns after a night of cooking went horribly wrong.
On Tuesday, the Kissing Booth star took to Instagram to reveal a blistering look at the skin on her face and neck after recently scolding herself with hot oil. In her Story post, which featured four photos, the 25-year-old told followers:
“I burned myself a few days ago by throwing shallots into a pan of hot oil.”
Holy s**t. OUCH. That must have been incredibly painful! And on her moneymaker — we mean, literally her face that makes her all that acting money!
Thankfully she kept her sense of humor as she continued:
“I called my mom to tell her and she says, ‘See that’s why I hate cooking.’”

Whoa… Those are BAD. Like, beyond just a few little drops of oil splashing up… We hope that ointment helps heal the burns. SO scary! Stay safe out there while cooking, everyone!
