Despite the domestic violence allegations, Johnny Depp is still up for a good laugh!
On Saturday, the scandalized star attended a show at The Comedy Store — and even took the stage!
According to E! News, the Pirates of the Caribbean star and comedian pal Doug Stanhope — who famously stood up for the actor amid Amber Heard‘s disturbing claims — were watching comics perform, when suddenly the 53-year-old became part of the show.

During his set, comedian Mat Edgar mentioned that the famous father was a part of the audience, and that’s when the A-lister hopped up onstage for some banter that even caught the performer off-guard!
Apparently, Johnny joked that the time for Mat’s set was up before swapping banter with the funnyman that the audience greeted with applause. At one point, Mr. Stanhope also took the stage during Mat’s bit, too.

Apparently Doug and the Kentucky native arrived together, and spent most of the night hanging out.
However, the close friends also enjoyed hanging out with singer Ryan Adams! You know, Mandy Moore‘s ex? Ch-ch-check it out (above)!
