Jon Gosselin wants his ex-wife Kate to pay serious consequences.
In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight‘s Kevin Frazier, the 49-year-old former reality TV patriarch goes scorched earth on the 51-year-old mother of his children.
Their son Collin, 22, just released his memoir In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood, in which he details horrific abuse allegations from his upbringing.

Kate has previously said she was always acting at the advice of pediatric specialists, and that Collin’s admittance into a behavioral facility during his teen years was deemed medically necessary.
Following the release of his book, Kate replied to a fan commenting support for her by insinuating Collin suffers from mental health issues, saying:
“Thank you so much. I know rational logical ppl or anyone who has dealt with mental illness understands what’s going on here”
In response, Jon issued a fiery statement to UsWeekly:
“As you know, Collin has been evaluated by multiple independent psychiatrists, and that narrative is proven categorically untrue. Repeating false claims about his mental health is damaging to his reputation, his credibility and his future. Consider this fair warning: The days of using mental health to discredit and silence my son are over.”
And now he’s doubling down!! On Wednesday he even suggested the state look into criminal charges against her! Telling ET:
“She needs to stop. He is not mentally ill. I would definitely have grounds to sue Kate for defamation and libel. I don’t even think it’s suing. I think it’s just criminal charges. So that’s up to the state. It has to be criminal. Let’s put the shoe on the other foot. What if I did these so-called things? Where would I be sitting right now? I’d be sitting in a jail, I’d be wearing a jumpsuit, and we’d be doing a live feed. Let it be known. There were a lot of people that could have done something and did nothing. And I have your names.”
When he’s asked what he thinks about the fans who wonder why he didn’t do more to stop the alleged abuse, he fires back:
“The abuse that Collin went under happened way after I left. So you have to look at timeline here. I got divorced, he was like four years old. I was fighting for him.”
