Jon Stewart On The ONE Question No One Asked Donald Trump -- See The Trusted Fake Newsman's Thoughts On The Election HERE!

No one ever said creating an America for everyone was easy.
But according to Jon Stewart, the idea of a country run by people of different cultures, backgrounds, and histories is “not natural.”
The former Daily Show host trimmed his beard to sit down with Charlie Rose and give his rational take on the results of the election.

He said on Thursday’s CBS This Morning:

“I don’t believe we are a fundamentally different country today than we were two weeks ago. The same country that elected Donald Trump elected Barack Obama. This election, to me is just another extension of the long argument that we’ve had from our founding, which is: What are we?”

Right now, we are a country with a Donald Trump presidency looming over our heads — an electoral upset the comedian attributes to citizens losing faith in our dysfunctional government.
While Trump’s campaign was full of questions — Is he a sexual criminal? Is he fit to lead a country? Are his hands really that small? — Stewart says there’s one question the President-elect was NEVER asked. He mused:

“One of the things that struck me as odd about this election, and maybe I just missed it, is nobody asked Donald Trump what makes America great.”

In an interview with the New York Times, The Donald did point to the “late ├óΓé¼╦£40s and ├óΓé¼╦£50s” as a time when the country was “not pushed around.” (You know, the good ol’ days of the Red Scare when we were terrified of Soviet spies. Oh wait…)

But Stewart had a completely different take on what makes America “great,” continuing:

“What are the metrics? Because it seems like from listening to [Trump], the metrics are that it’s a competition. And I think what many would say is what makes us great is [that] America is an anomaly in the world.”

As for what he means by “anomaly,” the 53-year-old philosophically noted:

“This is the fight that we wage against ourselves and each other, because America is not natural. Natural is tribal. We’re fighting against thousands of years of human history to create something that no one’s ever├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥that’s what’s exceptional about America. This ain’t easy.”

We can’t argue with you there, Jon! Ch-ch-check out his full interview (below)!
