They’re back in all their MTV VMAs glory!!
The Jonas Brothers took the stage for 2019’s show performing a few of their different hits, opting to do so outdoors in Asbury Park, New Jersey — you know, back in the home state where it all started for them — and in front of thousands of screaming fans they had a great homecoming!

The bros did their thing away from the VMAs stage, like we mentioned, with host Sebastian Maniscalco joking that they were so popular, the show had to come to them, rather than the JoBros heading to the show! LOLz!!!
The fellas performed Sucker, with Only Human following it… and they did so at the Stone Pony, where MAJOR New Jersey artists got their start, including Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi! Not a bad place to be if you’re the JoBros looking for a homecoming coronation party on live TV!
Lots of energy on camera the whole night… plenty of screaming fans going crazy in the audience… the whole thing was a solid performance to remember, and it made for a nice change of pace away from the VMAs stage! Plus, it was super New Jersey… gotta do it on a night like tonight!!!

The brothers have had a big couple of years — they reunited and are touring after time apart, Nick Jonas married Priyanka Chopra in a lavish Indian ceremony, and Joe Jonas got hitched twice to Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner!
On their long anticipated reunion as a boyband, Nick revealed to Billboard in April they were just ready to do the damn thing:
“It feels like the second bite of the apple is potentially going to be even bigger. Because we’re in a healthy place, we’re enjoying the ride. And I think the music is a reflection of that.”
Joe shared (in the same interview) their solo work lacked heart, which is why he’s so happy the trio is back together:
“We all wanted to create something on our own and were just trying to force it into what was going on. We were going through the motions, without the heart of it… The way we communicated to each other wasn’t healthy anymore.”
