Jonathan Taylor Thomas is back with his TV mom and brother!
On Wednesday, Patricia Richardson took to Instagram to post a picture with her former Home Improvement sons — Jonathan and Taran Noah Smith! Aww! The photo featured the two guys standing with smiles on their faces on either side of the 75-year-old actress!
Patricia captioned the picture:
“My other boys
”

This is a rare treat for Home Improvement fans! As you may know, Jonathan stepped out of the spotlight ahead of the final season of the show, which ran from 1991 to 1991, so the child star could attend college. He explained back then:
“I’d been going nonstop since I was 8 years old. I wanted to go to school, to travel and have a bit of a break. To sit in a big library amongst books and students, that was pretty cool. It was a novel experience for me.”
However, he didn’t return to acting after college! Patricia, his TV momma, shared on the Back to the Best podcast in 2024:
“Jonathan’s not really interested in acting, he wants to direct and write. Taran [also] hasn’t acted since he left the show. He’s not an actor anymore.”
Patricia added that she remains in touch with both her TV sons — but made no mention of her other one, Zachery Ty Bryan, who has been in trouble with the law frequently in his adult years! And obviously, he didn’t attend this reunion!
