Kevin’s coming back?! Macaulay Culkin might be returning to the Home Alone franchise!!!
According to Matt Belloni on Monday’s episode of The Town, there are new rumors that the actor is in talks with Disney to make a new Home Alone! He said:
“I got a tip the other day that there was a very interesting sighting on the Disney lot. Macaulay Culkin was there and he’s talked about an idea for a new Home Alone and Disney is salivating. They have a good idea. I’ve talked to people who’ve heard it and it’s a really good idea for a Home Alone reboot with Macaulay Culkin.”
OMG!
Macaulay has previously pitched the idea of Kevin returning as a single father — and getting locked out of his house by his own son! A fun twist on the original concept for sure!

It’ll be super exciting for fans if this comes to fruition, though it’ll also be a bit bittersweet given the loss of on-screen matriarch Cathrine O’Hara. We’re sure Macaulay would find a lovely way to honor her!
