Jordan And Peter Andre Are At It Again!

jordan-and-pete-andre-blame-each-other-for-daughter-being-burned
Oh for goodness sake!
It never ends with these two, does it?!
Recently, a story was published in the Sunday Mirror that suggested that called Katie Price‘s parenting skills into question because her daughter, Princess Tiaamii, had been badly burned by a hair straightening iron!
This, of course, has spurred a nasty war of words between the former glamour model and her ex-husband, Peter Andre, and both are pointing the finger of blame at each other for the incident!
To be perfectly honest, we thrilled that little Princess is okay, but we think that her parents should be more concerned about the emotional scars that they’re inflicting on her by using her as a means to lash out at each other in the press!
So sad.
Check out both parties’ statements…AFTER THE JUMP!
What do U think? Team Jordan or Team Pete??

Katie’s statement:

Late Saturday evening the Sunday Mirror called my PR company to say they had been given a story that Princess had been burnt by hair straighteners. This followed on from my ex-husbands public criticism of Princess having her hair straightened. I wondered why my ex-husband had used his column to bring that up but now it is obvious.
In fact Princess had her hair straightened by me at her request after I had bathed her and washed her hair. Straighteners were not used.
Princess has in fact got a minor burn under her armpit that she received in a fluke accident when she was in Klosters. At that time she was with my mother and my sister and had (unbeknown to my sister) followed my sister to retrieve pyjamas left to warm. Anyone who knows my mother, who is one of Harveys primary carers, and sister knows that they would lay down their life for any one of my children. That injury was seen to immediately and while it is of course upsetting that it happened at all, it was an accident of the type that happen to children all the time. Princess is fine, there will be no lasting damage and she was and is in no discomfort. The advice we received was to let the burn breath rather than dressing it. Unfortunately Harveys accident means we have a lot of experience of dealing with burns.
My ex-husband was made aware of this incident when we returned from Klosters. He saw Princess on the Wednesday after the incident. On the Friday he made various comments to me after I rang which I presumed were because he was being filmed. That was of course over a week ago (as my ex-husbands public statement on this matter confirms) so I am not sure why he was quoted saying that he was unaware of the incident in the Sunday Mirror.
At a time when I am trying to persuade my ex-husband to remove the children from the public eye to have this incident appear in the press and garner a little publicity is quite shameful. Those that know me will understand the raw emotion that this story and my ex husbands comments will elicit from me. He knows how I shielded him from blame when Harvey was badly burned while he looked after him. And people wonder why I insist my ex-husband has specialist care on hand when he looks after my son. I am sorry that my reaction to this is so emotional and so raw, I wish it did not affect me so much.
I am just so sad, and so sorry, to have to respond publically to the article and my ex-husbands statement. I will take whatever insults my ex-husband wishes to heap on me but I will not accept him portraying me as a bad mother.
I hope this puts to an end the ridiculous stories about my wanting my ex-husband back. I repeat the request to my ex husband that we withdraw the children from the public eye and ask that every scraped knee, bruised elbow and tear of childhood is not used to score points.
I would like to thank the Sunday Mirror for pixilating Princess’s face in their picture.

Peter’s statement:

I would like to make it clear that the story in the Sunday Mirror about my daughter Princess’s burn did not originate from me or my management. I was dealing with this matter privately. My management gave a comment to make sure the story was accurate.
I will not be accused of using an accident to gain publicity by Kate. That is completely untrue.
For the record, the facts are:
1. Princess came back from a skiing trip with a bad burn to her back. I knew nothing about this until my daughter came to my house on the Wednesday.
No-one had contacted me to tell me my daughter had hurt herself.
2. I tried to contact Kate urgently to find out what had happened, but she didn’t respond at all.
3. I took Princess to our Doctors immediately, and the doctor treated the injury and dressed it there and then.
4. Because I still hadn’t heard from Kate, I asked my lawyers to write to hers – to find out what had happened and why I had not been informed.
5. Kate finally called on the Friday but to speak to the children. I took the phone to speak with her then to ask her what had happened to Princess. She then said I was making a big issue out of it.
6. I’m sorry but my daughter being burnt and me not being told about it immediately is a big issue.
I hope this sets the record straight.
