Sudiksha Konanki’s investigation just took a 180…
The University of Pittsburgh junior has now been missing for 12 days after vanishing on her spring break trip in the Dominican Republic. As we’ve been following, she and a group of fellow female students went to the Riu República Hotel in Punta Cana, where Sudiksha met an American boy named Joshua Riibe. Early morning security footage from the day she went missing placed them together, making Joshua the main person of interest in Sudiksha’s disappearance.
Dominican Republic police reportedly seized the 22-year-old’s passport on Friday as they questioned him, but they never officially declared him a suspect in her disappearance. You can read all about his story of what happened HERE.
But in a shocking reversal, he’s now no longer even a person of interest anymore!

On Tuesday, Chad Quinn, a spokesperson for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office offered an update on their search for Sudiksha — and how Joshua fits into it:
“It’s an ongoing investigation, but in that regard, he’s not a person of interest anymore in that he’s been interviewed as part of the case. It’s still not a criminal investigation in any way from our perspective. He is not considered a suspect by us.”
He added that Joshua was fully cooperative throughout his questioning.
Wow… This is kind of wild! “Not a criminal investigation in any way”?? So they’re satisfied this was an accident? We wonder if it has anything to do with Sudiksha’s parents wanting authorities to hurry up and declare her death — even though no body has been recovered.
What are your thoughts on this update, Perezious readers??
