OMG! Jurnee Smollett's Ex-Husband Demanded Half Her Child Actor Money! After She Already Paid Him HOW MUCH?!

Jurnee Smollett‘s ex-husband was apparently unsatisfied with what he already received in their divorce a few years ago! And it was a LOT.

For those who don’t know, the 38-year-old actress tied the knot with musician Josiah Bell in 2010, and they welcomed a son named Hunter. All seemed perfect… but it didn’t last. She filed for divorce in 2020.

When they finalized everything a year later, Josiah got A LOT of money from her! Jurnee reportedly shelled nearly $1 million out as part of the settlement. Since they separated in 2019, he has also received $7,000 per month in child support and alimony payments. DAMN! Perezcious readers, your blood will boil at this next part…

Now, Josiah wants more from her! MUCH more! He reportedly asked for half of retirement savings, including her 401(k) and Screen Actors Guild pension. And get this? He got it! WHAT?!

According to court documents obtained by The Neighborhood Talk this week, he requested 50 percent of the money she accrued between 2010 and 2019 in her retirement savings. This, unfortunately, is the period they were married, making those funds community property. According to California law, marital assets are normally divided equally in a divorce — unless two people signed off on a prenup beforehand. In this case, it doesn’t sound like the exes did! So, the court ordered Jurnee’s plan administrator to transfer half of her account balance to Josiah.

That means, if the ruling stands, he has gained access to a good chunk of the money she made over her career — her entire career! She has been in the business for a looong time, too! Jurnee began contributing to her SAG pension at the age of 3. She has consistently starred in TV shows and movies since she started in 1992, including Full House, Friday Night Lights, Lovecraft Country, Birds of Prey, and more.

Given all this, we can imagine she’s made a lot over the years. Now, he gets a significant portion of her savings?! That doesn’t seem fair! In fact, it feels a bit greedy on his part! Especially after all that she’s paid him so far! Jurnee must be planning to fight this, right? She must be infuriated! We would be! So far she hasn’t commented on the messy situation.
