Bryan Freedman is criticizing Blake Lively’s “false victory tour.”
Earlier this week, Judge Lewis Liman dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $400 million defamation lawsuit against Blake after ruling her sexual harassment allegations are legally protected and therefore immune from a retaliatory lawsuit. And since then, she’s been on a victory lap celebrating the news. But according to Justin’s lawyer, her celebration is premature.

During an interview with TMZ on Tuesday, Freedman doubled down on Justin’s innocence, claiming “there’s no smear campaign and there’s no sexual harassment” like Blake has claimed. Citing the “facts” and the “receipts,” he added she “hasn’t proven a thing” and that she’s on a “false victory tour” amid Judge Liman’s latest ruling. He added:
“She’s afraid of the truth and the truth is going to be shown through depositions, which is going to be next.”
The legal eagle went on to reveal Judge Liman is allowing him and Justin to amend four of their original seven claims, including intentional interference with contract, intentional interference with prospective economic advantages, negligent interference with prospective economic advantages, and breach of the implied duty of good faith and fair dealing. So in other words, the legal war is far from over. He pointed out:
“There’s been absolutely no indication of any kind that she is prevailing on her claims. As a matter of fact, just the opposite.”
When asked what Justin’s reaction was to the ruling, Freedman revealed:
“The same as my reaction to it, which is it’s not fair, it’s not right, and the reality is that someone should have the chance to be held accountable … I think that he’s a person who wants to be vindicated, and that’s all that he cares about. He knows who he is, he knows what he’s done, and he knows what he hasn’t done, and he wants the truth to come out. And he wants to do that in the appropriate way. He’s not walking around taking victory laps and victory tours and speaking out — he’s taking care of his family, and taking care of his loved ones, and he’s waiting for his day in court when he can speak out and tell the truth.”
The lawyer left off by promising things are “so far from being over.” Watch his entire interview (below):
