As talk of Justin Bieber and Diddy‘s eyebrow-raising relationship continues to circulate, one thing all the parents out there are thinking… where the hell was his mom??
The Biebs spent a lot of time with Diddy, including staying at his place for a weekend when he was just 15 years old.
No one knows that anything inappropriate happened then — or indeed the many other times they hung out after. But considering the accusations against Diddy — not just the “freak offs” and sex trafficking of young men and women, but now the allegations he sexually abused dozens of minors, including a boy as young as 9 years old? Yeah, people want to know Justin was protected. And it sure as hell sounds like he wasn’t.
Especially not with resurfaced interviews coming out where Diddy says the teen “knows better than to be talking about the things that he does with big brother Puff on national television.” And of course we know the Biebs was at least present for some sexed up party antics. Khloé Kardashian talked about going to one of Puff’s parties in 2014, one she said was full of “butt naked” people — and she said Bieber was there.

Now sources close to Justin told DailyMail.com they definitely feel he “should never have been allowed to party with Diddy or anyone else when he was a teen.”
So what happened? He was “thrown to the wolves” by his mother and absentee father, is how they put it. Clearly Jeremy Bieber wasn’t around at the time. But they’re implying Pattie Mallette allowed him to spend this time with Diddy. We guess that makes sense. It’s not like he could have tricked her — like he asked to go over to a schoolmate’s sleepover then once she drove around the corner went next door to Sean Combs’ mansion instead. Heck, he posted a video about his time with Diddy on his YouTube channel!
So how did this happen?
The sources partially blame Usher — who was a mentor to Bieber and first brought him to Diddy, whom he’d lived with when he was younger. Is it possible Pattie just trusted Usher enough that him vouching for another star made it OK?
But again, this wasn’t just a one-time thing. This was over the course of years they were spending this time together. Remember, Khloé saw Justin at a party in 2014.
Of course, Justin and his mom weren’t in the best place at that time. That was the same year Bieber was arrested on DUI charges after getting caught racing his Lamborghini. And after his arrest he reportedly told authorities the prescription drugs he was on were given to him by none other than Pattie.
The next year he spoke about his relationship with his mom becoming “pretty non-existent” around that time, telling Billboard in 2015:
“I was distant because I was ashamed. I never wanted my mom to be disappointed in me and I knew she was. We spent some time not talking.”
So awful. Seems like it was just when he needed her most. Needed her to give him some tough love and boundaries by the sound of it.
