The wife of the Kansas City Chiefs owner wants the rumors about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding to calm down!
Clark and Tavia Hunt were among the 1,000 guests at the couple’s extravagant wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday, so they know firsthand how the whole event went! And she’s here to set the record straight after podcaster Zack Peter shared a Dailymail.com report on Instagram that attendees felt the wedding was very “chaotic” and “tacky!”
According to the outlet, one source claimed there were only 150 seats at the ceremony, meaning 800 guests had to stand throughout the entire thing! And it was allegedly very long! Taylor and Travis reportedly recited 20-minute vows each, so hundreds of guests had to stand through 40 minutes of vows alone! Oof!

To make things worse, the pair staggered their attendees’ arrival so some arrived at 2:30 p.m. — hours before the cocktail hour and ceremony began that day! They didn’t even have phones to pass the time since they had to check them at the door! A source alleged:
“It was surprisingly chaotic inside. Arrivals were staggered with people having to wait for hours with nothing to do. The cocktails only started at 4pm. People literally were twiddling their thumbs for hours. If you were in the 2.30pm time slot, you couldn’t even amuse yourself by checking your phone. You were just standing around like a lemon wondering why the hell you were forced to arrive so early.”
A big issue for guests came down to the food and drink, though! One guest thought it was “such a tacky move” to have “a buffet at the wedding of the year.” Another added:
“There were slightly chaotic scenes around the food carts with all these amazing A-listers having to stand in line. It wasn’t quite what I expected. You know Julia Roberts was there. And Steven Spielberg.”
Also, Taylor and Travis ran out of champagne early on into the night! A source explained:
“It was an amazing event but people couldn’t believe that the champagne ran out really early. That felt kind of astonishing. There were also people who were surprised about the food. It was not great and served buffet-style with long lines if you wanted to eat. The problems were all because the wedding was so big. At a normal wedding, everyone knows the bride and groom, and you don’t have to stagger arrivals or queue for food because there aren’t 1,000 people. Also, at a normal wedding people have a table to sit on and are then catered for. This was far more of a stadium vibe. People kind of felt like they existed to be Taylor’s audience on the day.”
Yikes!
So, Zack rehashed this entire report about wedding debacle in an Instagram video. Ch-ch-check it out (below):
However, Tavia is slamming the rumors! She said in the comments on Tuesday:
“This is such a false narrative. They did not run out of champagne. There were not long lines. Every single person was seated for the ceremony. The vows were spectacular — beautiful, heartfelt, and absolutely perfect. It could not have been a more fabulous experience. And frankly, it is inappropriate to say things like this when you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. That is hearsay — not truth.”
Damn! She told Zack! And for what it’s worth, Trey Fanjoy, who directed several of Taylor’s early music videos, including Tim McGraw, Teardrops on My Guitar, and Love Story, also backed Tavia! She fired back in the comments hours later:
“Yeah…everything you said is a lie. Everyone had the time of their lives. Best wedding EVER!”
It sounds like the guests had a good time! At least some of them!
