Kanye West Thinks He Can Get Colin Kaepernick & Trump On The Same Page

Kanye West made all the wrong headlines this weekend after praising Donald Trump in an impromptu rant on SNL.
Oh, and tweeting that he wanted to “abolish the 13th amendment.”

Well, he followed that up with yet another interview on TMZ Live (only this time notably away from the bullpen and Van Lathan, who schooled him on his “slavery was a choice” comments last time).
In the first clip released, Kanye states he is not only all in on Trump, he’s trying to bring other notable African Americans into the fold — starting with Colin Kaepernick. He says:

“I’ve been calling Colin this morning, reaching him, so I can bring Colin to the White House, and we can remove that ‘sons of bitches’ statement, and we can be on the same page.”

Kanye is referring of course to when the POTUS told a crowd the NFL owners that if a player kneels during the anthem, they should “get that son of a bitch off the field.” Trump has infamously been the loudest critic of players’ right to protest police brutality.
We’re guessing neither the President nor Colin will actually want to meet up.
Note that Ye didn’t say he HAD reached Kaepernick. Yeah, there’s no way this will actually happen.
But we have to ask — is anyone else getting an Invasion of the Body Snatchers vibe here? Kanye went from “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” … to all this!
Super weird, right?
