Kanye West is on a mission from God! …Or something.
The Jesus Walks rapper won’t let public opinion get in the way of his intentions with his new album, Jesus Is King, and he’s a man on a mission when it comes to his new passion: music for God. In fact, he’s so serious about his newfound faith that he’s telling those close to him he’s never going back to the old stuff — not in its original form, anyways.

According to sources close to Yeezy who confirmed the news here with TMZ, the rapper is “100% serious” when he says he will “never perform his old music in its original form again.” That means no College Dropout, no The Life of Pablo, no Graduation, no nothing… nothing from his old catalogue in its original form, anyways.
The insiders are quick to claim that Kanye literally doesn’t care that he’s receiving a rash of negative reviews for his new album, either. Apparently, he believes that he’s truly making music for God now, and he’s a changed man because of it. Still, fans are clamoring for more after arguing that his 11-track, 27-minute (!) album that dropped on Friday feels a bit, um, incomplete. Well, yeah…
Kim Kardashian West‘s husband has nevertheless become hell-bent on his newfound faith, at least according to the insiders here, so it’s probably not likely that he’ll change back to his old ways any time soon. Guess we’ll all just wait for his next gospel album, then…?
Speaking of the new music…
In the song On God from Yeezy’s newest album, the rapper delivers the line (below):
“That’s why I charge the prices that I charge / I can’t be out here Dancing With the Stars / No, I cannot let my family starve / I go hard, that’s on God.”
And while the line is clever, it also got the attention of some Dancing With The Stars celebs — and not in a good way!!
DWTS dancer Val Chmerkovskiy posted a hilarious video to his Instagram account showing himself listening to Yeezy’s song, and reacting with Kim K memes in response to the rapper’s lyrical shade! (As you may remember, Kanye’s wife was once featured prominently on the show, herself, way back in 2008.)

Ha!!! Love it!! Especially the end of that video… a diss track with rhinestones, and all!
Getting back to Kanye’s apparent complete left turn in musical direction, though… is that a problem for you, Perezcious readers? Do U like the new Kanye, or is something missing here??
