Another day, another Kanye West rant.
In a new interview with BBC Radio 1‘s Annie Mac airing Monday evening, the 39-year-old discussed a wide array of topics including (but not limited to): why Kim Kardashian West won’t cook him greens, his declaration to run for POTUS, and his desire to create minimalist furniture for Ikea.
We’ve all seen his KUWTK wife’s snaps as she prepares “Soul Food Sundays,” but one thing she didn’t cook herself? Greens.

Her husband revealed:
“When my wife cooks for me I will always ask for greens and she never wants to cook the greens because they take three hours to cook.”
Oh?! Ain’t nobody got time for that — especially Kimmy K!
The Famous rapper also chatted about his desire to dabble in the world of furniture design:
“I have to work with IKEA – make furniture for interior design, for architecture and I know that if I do a minimalist apartment inside of a college dorm where the TV goes on the side of the wall. Yo IKEA, allow Kanye to create, allow him to make this thing because you know what, I want a bed that he makes, I want a chair that he makes – I want more products from Ye.”
Talk about confidence! LOLz!
Switching gears, do y’all remember when the Chicago native had an epic slip up when he headlined the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset during the summer of 2015?
Speaking on what exactly went down (in his mind), Yeezy said the whole thing left him in a “depressed” state:
“It was incredible. I started off the show and I completely messed up the music… I’m a bit of a perfectionist. So it really put me into a slightly depressed state and it put me back in the position of when I was in high school and I got fired from my job, or when I played my music for R. Kelly and he told me he was going to sign me. Three months later I didn’t have any money I couldn’t afford a haircut, I couldn’t take my girlfriend to the movies and I’m still in my mumma’s bedroom, working on beats and I was that close to being signed by R. Kelly├óΓé¼┬ª I don’t usually get nervous, I prepare, I get fully prepared. When that music messed up in the beginning it tapped into my nerves and when you’re nervous or vulnerable something special and something different can happen.”
We all know it must be traumatizing for K.W.’s ego to have not everything go as planned!
And speaking of plans… what’s up with Kanye’s declaration to run for President in 2020? Is that still a thing?
He explained:
“We are numb, we’re numb to 500 kids getting killed in Chicago a year, we’re numb to the fact that it was seven police shootings in the beginning of July.”
Adding:
“When I talk about the idea of being president, I’m not saying I have any political views, I don’t have views on politics, I just have a view on humanity, on people, on the truth. If there is anything that I can do with my time and my day, to somehow make a difference while I’m alive I’m going to try to do it.”
But at the end of the day, the designer doesn’t want to be put in a box:
“It’s like telling Michelangelo I know you did this dope angel and that was really beautiful, but likewise you know I don’t think you can paint a cow.”
