Pusha T had a biggg night last night, but we├óΓé¼Γäóre guessing it didn’t quite happen the way he expected!
The up and coming rapper held a listening party for his soon-to-be released My Name Is My Name album in Brooklyn, and the party REALLY started when his good friend Kanye West showed up.
In the middle of the playlist, Kanye asked the DJ to pause between songs so he could presumably say a few kind words about his man, Pusha T.
You can listen to his Grey Goose filled words (above), or read the transcription (below):
Aye yo this Yeezy right now speaking to y├óΓé¼Γäóall. This the heart of the muthaf–king city, act y├óΓé¼Γäóall ain├óΓé¼Γäót have that muthaf–king Clipse album and shit. Act like y├óΓé¼Γäóall ain├óΓé¼Γäót base y├óΓé¼Γäóall whole shit, whole lifestyle off this n—a Pusha T. Everything is Pusha T. Pyrex Vision, that├óΓé¼Γäós Pusha T. Fear of God, that├óΓé¼Γäós Pusha T. This n—a the heart of the muthaf–king culture for you culture vultures. This the only n—a spitting that wild muthaf–king hip-hop shit right now, that├óΓé¼Γäós why I stand next to this n—a. I don├óΓé¼Γäót give a f–k about none of these corporations, none of these f–king sellouts, this muthaf–king Pusha T.
This is the f–k we make. We make good music, we make good music. We don├óΓé¼Γäót give a f–k about how much god damn money you make, we make good music.
I├óΓé¼Γäóm a [admit I’m a little] off that Goose right now, I might get loose right now. We don├óΓé¼Γäót give a f–k├óΓé¼┬ª..we don├óΓé¼Γäót give a f–k. N—a this is that culture. This is that culture├óΓé¼┬ª.for everybody stealing the culture, for all n—as trying to do their camo prints at MAGIC this is for f–king Pusha T.
All these n—s trying to extend their muthaf–king t-shirts, trying to throw numbers on the back of their shit├óΓé¼┬ª.this muthaf–king Pusha T. ├óΓé¼┼ôI have a t-shirt line, cause I got numbers at the back of my shit,├óΓé¼┬¥ F–k you.
This DONDA, this [art director and photographer] Matt Williams, this [creative director and Been Trill boss] Virgil Abloh, this Ferris Bueller, this is muthaf–king Pusha T. I├óΓé¼Γäóm done.
Ok, we get Kanye throwing shade on corporations because that’s a typical Kanye move.
But to dis all who embrace camouflage?!? And specifically aimed at designers who use army print in their clothing lines, which to us sounds like a direct jab at Rihanna!
Yeezus goes on to say people who put numbers on the back of their shirts are also not legit, so at this point we’re talking designers who take inspiration from athletic teams and all their fans.
Basically, ‘Ye managed to insult a whole lotta people in one fell swoop — all while attempting to support the man of the night, Pusha T.
As you may have guessed, no one was paying much attention to Pusha after Kanye’s speech, but hey, if you’re friends with Yeezus, you probs should expect the man to steal your spotlight most of the time anyway, right!?
Now, how about that toast…
