The 45-year-old actress posted a paparazzi pic on Instagram with the caption:
“Everyone was pretty tense for the game but apparently I’m just here for the fashion and was enchanted by some particularly fire tube socks #lakers.”
Next to her was a younger gentleman — leading commenters to immediately start assuming it could have been a date (not totally out of the question since she was spotted leaving a party with Pete Davidson), and even questioning if he was her son.
The man seated next to her was actually her assistant and friend, Stephen Simbari, but that didn’t stop Kate from having some fun replying back to the commenters:
