Kate Moss is Allure‘s August cover girl, but unlike her usual magazine appearances she doesn’t just pose and then leave without saying a word.
Editors get the supermodel talking, and she has a lot to say!
Mossy actually gets pretty candid, revealing how she considered enhancing her bosom back when she first began modeling, saying:
“I didn’t like my flat chest. I was like, ‘Oh, I’m going to have a tit job.’ Can you imagine?”
We can’t and we don’t want to!
In addition to discussing the early rumors of her drug use and anorexia (both of which she denies), the 39-year-old takes time between posing in fur coats by Marc Jacobs and Dennis Basso to confess a lot more about herself.
Read on for the HIGHlights!!!
On her celebrity status:
“Everyone’s a celebrity. But I’m kind of a celebrity now, so even though I’m not an actress, people know my name. I’m not just a face.”
On the best advice Johnny Depp‘s given her:
“Never complain, never explain.”
On why so many designers and photographers are inspired by her:
“I must be a bit of a blank canvas. Or something.”
On her self-tanning regimen:
“I don├óΓé¼Γäót do it on the boobs, though├óΓé¼ΓÇ£I try not to have a white boob. I don├óΓé¼Γäót mind a bikini bottom. My husband likes lines on the bum├óΓé¼ΓÇ£men like white bums, like a frame.”
On her beauty routine:
“I use that Moroccanoil stuff, and then I blow-dry it upside down and brush it. Maybe I’ll give it a back-comb at the top.. Always clean hair. That’s a must. If in doubt, wash it.”
On being more comfortable than ever with her body:
“I used to be so scared about ├óΓé¼╦£Oh, I don├óΓé¼Γäót want to show my body.’ Now that I├óΓé¼Γäóve shown it, it doesn├óΓé¼Γäót bug me about my moles, or ‘This isn├óΓé¼Γäót big enough’ and ‘That├óΓé¼Γäós not smooth enough.'”
On her work ethic:
“At a shoot, I’m really aware of everything. When they do makeup, sometimes I can’t see what they’re doing, but I can feel it. I know what I look like, even when I can’t see what they’ve done. I know how to compose myself.”
On what she would never wear:
“I try and be a little bit chic. I wouldn’t wear sweatpants. I wouldn’t wear a twinset.”
On her fashion philosophy:
“With confidence, I think anyone can get a dress and make it their own. I don’t think you should have it off the runway and wear it like they want you to wear it. You know, with their hair and makeup├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥their woman. I just think it’s boring. You have to make it your own. That’s what fashion is all about.”
No twinsets and making every dress her own — she’s got that right!
