Unfortunately for the talented Oscar winner Kate Winslet, just being her and getting some pretty decent reviews hasn’t added to the number of people turning out to watch her crack at Mildred Pierce.
HBO miniseries usually garner many more watchers, like John Adams did in 2008.
Sadly, that’s not the case for Kate:
Sunday’s premiere of the miniseries — based on James M. Cain’s 1941 novel about the travails of a Depression-era housewife — delivered just 1.3 million total viewers, according to the Nielsen Co.
We can still be optimistic about it! Maybe it’ll gain momentum!
Weirder things have happened!
Hopefully things get better, Kate!
Have U been watching Mildred??
