Kathy Griffin wasn’t exactly trying to keep this one a secret!
The 65-year-old comedian just debuted her new boyfriend on Instagram back on Thursday, and she knew exactly what everyone would be talking about. Why? Because her mystery man is just 22 years old! Yes, really — according to Kathy, at least!
Talk about an age gap!!!!

Sharing a sweet snap of the pair holding hands as he opened a car door for her, Kathy cheekily wrote:
“He’s 22. Have at it, internet.”
Ohhhh, she knew the comment section was about to explode!
And explode it did! Some fans celebrated the romance, insisting age is just a number and praising the young guy’s gentlemanly manners. Others, though, questioned whether people would feel the same if the roles were reversed:

Kathy hasn’t revealed her boyfriend’s identity just yet, but the pair were reportedly spotted on a date in El Lay back in May, per the US Sun, so this romance has apparently been brewing for a little while.
The new relationship also comes after Kathy’s 2023 split from ex-husband Randy Bick, who was 18 years younger than her. And here’s the funny part: just months ago, Kathy admitted in an essay for The Cut that she’d previously ended another romance with a 23-year-old because he was “too young.” Looks like she’s had a change of heart… because this new beau is apparently a year younger!
