Everyone has been wanting to know what will happen with Fashion Police ever since the show lost their hilarious and AH-Mazing leader, Joan Rivers.
We now know that the show will be coming back to TV, but will it just be the three hosts who sat alongside Joan for all those years or will someone else be stepping in to take charge?
We’re now hearing Kathy Griffin has been offered the gig of hosting the show, with Melissa Rivers‘ blessing:
“Kathy has been told if she wants the gig she can have it because Melissa wanted someone who her mother would have approved of. Kathy will probably take the position but they are still working out the deal.”
We must say, while it’s impossible to replace Joan, we can see her happily approving of Kathy taking the lead.
However, we’re not so sure that’s what’s going to go down because Kathy once said she’d never take Joan’s job.
During an interview with Larry King after Joan’s death, Kathy addressed rumors that she was going after Joan’s Fashion Police job while Joan was in a coma:
“It’s disgusting. It’s not true├óΓé¼┬ª I thought I’d heard it all, but that [rumor] hurts because it’s as far from the truth as you can get. I would never take Joan’s job. Joan and I had a different style. She absolutely was my mentor for sure, but no.”
So that leaves us all wondering, will Kathy step in for Joan if that’s what Joan would want?
Or will Fashion Police leave Joan’s spot empty because no one can truly ever replace her?
