Looks like Katie Couric’s replacement is JUST getting by…
Last month, we heard that 60 Minutes‘ Scott Pelley was taking over Katie’s CBS Evening News anchor position, and we were feeling pretty good about it.
Now, Pelley has taken over, and his ratings aren’t BAD at all…but they’re not anything fantastic.
During his first week, Pelley averaged 5.7 million viewers, which matched Couric’s average ratings for May. His ratings were a bit LOWER, though, than the average for Katie’s substitute anchor Harry Smith.
Ah well! Hopefully he’s able to maintain his current ratings at the very least.
