Wow, Katie Maloney-Schwartz is looking great!

The Vanderpump Rules star revealed a couple weeks ago she had lost about 20 lbs, and on Tuesday she showed off her new figure!

Teasing the socially distanced VPR reunion show by putting her full outfit on display, Mrs. Tom Schwartz wrote:

“Season 8 Reunion Look! We may have been socially distant but it was still ???!”

The change is VERY noticeable!

Back on April 19, Katie opened up after a fan noticed on her IG pics she had been losing weight. She revealed in an IG Story Q&A last month:

“I’ve lost a little over 20 pounds… it feels good.”

We’re so happy for Katie! Not that she wasn’t a knockout before, but she was dealing with some pretty serious body-shaming lately. (Thankfully her friends had her back the whole time!)

So what has been the secret to losing weight? Especially at a time when so many are packing on some extra lbs thanks to the lockdown’s plentiful food delivery and lack of gym access??

She had been “trying to diet” but decided to make sure she did everything as healthy as possible by getting checked out by a doctor:

“I thought it was a thyroid thing, so I was going to the doctor and getting blood work done. I think it’s really important to also check up on your health because even though it wasn’t a thyroid thing, I did discover that my glucose levels were pretty high and that could’ve let to some maybe pre-diabetic problems.”

Learning about her glucose levels was a wakeup call that caused her to take things a little more seriously, including getting some professional help.

“From there, I met a really great nutritionist, who helped me understand how to eat for my metabolism, especially with being insulin resistant or insulin-sensitive. So now I have a great understanding on nutrition and what kinds of food I should and shouldn’t be eating.”

However, she wants to make a distinction:

And I’m not dieting. But I just have a wealth of knowledge on what kind of foods to be eating.”

There is a difference between going on a calorie-restricted diet and just eating wholesome foods — mainly that you should be doing the latter all the time!

We’re really glad Katie found what works for her — and decided to work it! Looking good, gurl!
