Katy Perry has denied having any type of intimate exchange — consensual or otherwise — with controversial music producer Dr. Luke.
The Swish Swish singer was deposed about that back in July 2017 as part of Dr. Luke’s ongoing legal battle against Kesha, and now, that deposition has been partially unsealed with the testimony made publicly available.

In it, the 33-year-old Perry categorically denies all questions about whether the music producer ever raped or sexually assaulted her, which had been a major point of contention in Kesha’s protracted legal battle against the music producer.
Here’s a look at the key portion of the publicly available deposition — with parts redacted, but large chunks of Perry’s key testimony about the issue (below):
According to text messages, Kesha told Lady GaGa that music producer Dr. Luke raped the Dark Horse singer.

Perry, clearly, is very adamant that there was no contact in any manner like that between her and Dr. Luke.

As for what that may mean for Kesha and another party named in the deposition — Lady GaGa — we can’t say.
Obviously, Kesha v. Dr. Luke has wound its way through the courts for quite a while now, but having this key testimony released to public opinion could create a new, unforeseen stir.
