APEC is a group of international leaders — including President Barack Obama — and while locals were trying to voice their concerns, when water cannons stopped working the Police decided to play Roar to stop the commotion.
Other songs played outside the APEC included David Guetta‘s Sexy B*tch, Dolly Parton‘s Islands in the Stream, and the Bee Gees‘ How Deep is Your Love?
We’re hearing the protest was peaceful so it’s not great that people weren’t allowed to voice their opinions — but we’re glad the police could find a method that didn’t hurt anyone.
