Katy Perry is mourning the loss of her dear friend and music executive Angelica Cob-Baehler.
The 47-year-old, affectionately referred to as “Geli”, was a huge part of Perry’s early career, and passed away last week after fighting a tough battle with cancer.

Perry’s tribute to her longtime friend on Instagram highlights the highs and lows of over a decade of friendship together in the music industry, thanking Cob-Baehler for championing her through it all. You can read through it (below):
As the Firework singer’s caption explains, Cob-Baehler played an instrumental role in freeing Katy from her contract at Columbia Records and transitioning over to Capitol Records where she says her songs were “brought to life”.
So so sad.
The post ends with a call-to-action from Perry, asking her 73.7 million followers to donate to Cob-Baehler’s favorite charity, Generosity.org, in honor of Giving Tuesday, and to keep her dear friend’s spirit of selflessness alive.
