Katy Perry is preparing to perform her first concert in India.
You know, India? It’s the same country she married Russell Brand in two years ago.
If the place holds any bad memories for her, the California Gurl isn’t saying it. Katy Perry says she’s thrilled, however. She will be performing for the opening ceremony of cricket’s Indian Premier League in Chennai on 3 April 2012.
Katy explains:
“I think Bollywood is amazing and fun and over-the-top, and I love to be involved with a lot of things that are over-the-top, so I think it’s a good match. I really like their spirit, and charm and sense of humour, and I’m hoping that I can bring some Western love to Bollywood and then take home some Bollywood to the Western world.”
