Kelly Clarkson is ready to walk down the aisle!
The happy, happy news was announced late last year that the first American Idol will be tying the knot with her music manager fiance, Brandon Blackstock. Miss Independent reveals that all it took to find her Mr. Right was just changing her point of view. OR, to quote K.C.:
“I was dating skinny jeans and I needed Wranglers!”
However, don’t expect the Texas native to have the usual glitzy Hollywood wedding!! She’s too down-to-earth for that! Kelly explained in a new interview that she plans to have an “earthy” outdoor wedding at home, filled with yellow roses from Texas.
We wouldn’t expect anything less from our country-born princess, especially considering the proposal was just as casual!
The Since You’ve Been Gone songstress revealed that her hubby-to-be proposed while she was dressed in her sweats at their Nashville home.
She said:
“Out of nowhere I just said, ‘Thanks for being an awesome guy.’ I’ve never been loved properly by a man, and I was just like, ‘I thank you so much for that.’ ”
However, she had no clue that he was planning to propose!!
She continued:
“Not a damn clue! If I did I would have worn something besides Uggs and a sweatshirt with no bra.”
We’re sure it was the lack of bra that put him over the edge! LOLz.
But besides the laid back garb, it sure sounds like a fairy tale come true to us!!
Now, where can we find a man like Brandon???!
