Pink was quick to shut down reports she and her husband Carey Hart split last week, but now a source is opening up about their unconventional marriage — and why things might not be so good for them!
Speaking to DailyMail.com on Monday, an insider claimed it’s not unusual for the longtime couple to be on the brink of a breakup — uh oh! It’s either they’re close to calling things off OR they’re head over heels happy. There’s apparently no in-between, the source shared:
“They are always on the cusp of breaking up or head over heels in love. They fight for their relationship because they are soulmates.”
It’s nice that they’re fighting for each other, but that sounds kinda exhausting!

The insider also suggested “close friends” of the pair have not seen them together “in a while and assumed they had split.” So, maybe that’s what led to the original People report? After all, the outlet is usually super, super, super reputable. They must’ve had intel they thought was SOLID!
As for how things are right now, the confidant didn’t make it sound so hopeful, noting:
“They are together, but who knows for how long? They are stubborn and want their own way. For 20 years, it has been the same thing. It’s what makes them tick. No one would be surprised if they break up tomorrow and continue the cycle. They are a very unique couple, and most definitely a surprise a minute.”
Oh, no!!
As you’ll recall, the duo actually broke up very early into their relationship, but eventually got back together and really put in the work to fix things. They share two kids, and everything has seemed to be going well from an outsider’s perspective for many years. But now, we guess there’s a lot more going on BTS!
Unfortunately – or maybe fortunately — for the singer, this drama comes amid a possible career change. She’s currently in NYC to host a full week of The Kelly Clarkson Show, in what sources are calling her audition to take over the daytime show once the current host finishes later this year.
It’s a job Pink reportedly really wants, so it all comes down to how her ratings do this week, the source explained:
“If all goes well and the ratings are great, it will be her job. She wants it, NBC Universal wants it, all that counts now is if the audience wants it.”
While she might’ve hated the so-called fake news about her relationship, the insider called it “perfect timing” for the artist, who can use it to prove how “real” and “transparent” she can be on TV:
“Pink is such an open book and will be perfect for the role, but the proof will be if she can bring in the audience and keep the audience.”
What better way to do that than get real about her marriage?? Everyone’s already curious! The source dished:
“The talk about her relationship issues was perfect timing, as hurtful as that can be. Everyone is waiting for her to talk about it on the show. Everyone wants her to be as real and transparent as Kelly is. She could turn the relationship drama into ratings gold.”
Hmm. Was this someone’s masterplan to land her the gig?? 
We will have to wait and see what she does. For the first episode, she brought her daughter Willow with her, so she’s already making it a family affair!
