Kelly Osbourne has never been one to shy away from telling the truth over her drug use, and after completing a month-long stint in rehab this year, the infamous Brit is claiming that she is clean for the first time since she’s been a teenager.
“I had my tonsils taken out [at age 13], and they gave me liquid Vicodin. I found, when I take this, people like me. I’m having fun, I’m not getting picked on. It became a confidence thing,” Osbourne recalled of her introduction to painkillers.
With previous visits to rehab under her belt, Kelly relapsed hard this year when she began to take loads of painkillers to sleep through the day.
The middle Osbourne finally realized the severity of her addiction: “I knew if I didn’t get help, I would die.”
With the Osbourne family’s new variety show Osbournes Reloaded premiering on FOX at the end of the month, Kelly recognizes just how important her sobriety is. “I’m getting a second chance [at my career] and I want to be present for it.”
