Kesha is paying tribute to James Van Der Beek.
Following the news of the 48-year-old actor’s death, the pop star took to Instagram Stories to post two photos of them at the Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at the Paris Las Vegas back in 2011.
The first shows James pointing at Kesha, along with a red heart emoji, while the other shows them embracing. See pics from that night (below):

For those who don’t recall, James starred as himself — or “James Van Der Douche” — in Kesha’s music video for her hit track Blow.
They faced off in an epic battle on the dance floor in the middle of a fancy party attended by humanoid unicorns, shooting rainbow lasers at each other. Watch the music video (below):
