Kevin Hart Meets Up With Ellen DeGeneres For Lunch After Defending Her Amid Talk Show Scandal!

Kevin Hart has Ellen DeGeneres‘ back… and she, his!

The two big-time celebrities joined forces for a lunch on Saturday afternoon on the patio at the Rosewood Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, California. The Ride Along star, 41, and his 62-year-old talk show host and comedian pal were both dressed down for the occasion, opting to hang out together, sip wine, and generally relax during what has otherwise been a remarkably tumultuous summer, especially for Ellen.

You can see this pics for yourself HERE; obviously, it’s newsworthy to see these two together after Hart defended the Ellen Show host not even a full month ago with a public statement backing her against allegations of a toxic environment on the set of her talk show. You’ll recall Hart had many good things to say about Ellen, choosing to clap back as best he could at the accusations and allegations piling up against her since, well, pretty much the start of this summer.

And it’s definitely mutual; you’ll also recall how in 2019 old homophobic tweets of Hart’s resurfaced right as he was preparing to host that year’s Oscars, eventually forcing him to step down. Ellen came to his defense at the time, lending him a spot on her show to discuss the ordeal and move forward from there.

What can we say? Two peas in a pod, we suppose. Like ’em or hate ’em, Ellen and Kevin have certainly joined forces in their own way right now, with Saturday’s lunch simply solidifying the friendship even amid endless allegations all around.

Of course, as you’ll recall, Ellen has faced seemingly endless accusations regarding ongoing issues related to an allegedly toxic workplace on the set of her eponymous talk show. The 62-year-old New Orleans native publicly apologized, sending an open letter to her staff and promising to do better, though for many that fell on deaf ears as allegations, accusations, and rumors continued to spread from there. Her show returns to film new episodes in early September, so surely we’ll have more information and updates about her future in TV at that point.
