Ellen DeGeneres has been on an emotional roller coaster the last few months, reeling after repeated accusations of a “toxic” workplace and other alleged misdeeds on the set of The Ellen Show.
But now, even as former staffers continue to come forward with stories about misconduct by production execs and allegations of “mean” actions by the host herself, Ellen is trying to get back on her feet.

Originally, the 62-year-old star was “crushed” by the accusations that she’d fostered a toxic environment for years on the set of her eponymous talk show, according to an insider who spoke about the matter to People. But after the allegations got out, and following an internal investigation from the show’s parent company, WarnerMedia, it sounds like the New Orleans native is ready for redemption.
That same insider suggested as much in the mag’s upcoming new issue, noting things will change on set when the talk show is expected to return September 9:
“Ellen is personally going to be invested in making sure those things are properly changed. She wants to just put out a great show that makes people happy and feel good. She’s very focused on that.”
Yeah, so, the show itself has definitely made fans feel “happy and good” in the past, and we’re sure it still will in the future, but it’s not really about that, is it? Fans will always love Ellen’s generosity and fun. But what about when the lights turn off?? Now, the question becomes whether the legendary comedian can do her thing on air like usual and reform the way her production staff is apparently treated when the world isn’t watching…
Big Bro To The Rescue!
Just as celebs from across the spectrum come forward to defend the embattled daytime TV talker, so too is Ellen’s big brother, actor and movie producer Vance DeGeneres.
The 65-year-old Marine Corps veteran (pictured above, inset) took to social media several times over the past few days to publicly back his little sister, first tweeting early Tuesday morning that Ellen “continues to be a bright light in a dark world,” as you can see (below):

Vance wasn’t done there, though.
The one-time Cowboy Mouth musician got more pointed on his personal Facebook page, calling the accusations against her “bulls**t” and asking his connections on the social network to un-friend him if they don’t also support Ellen during this trying time.

Writing how Ellen “always will stand against bullying of any kind” and noting his own emotions as being “sick and tired” of the drama surrounding her career, Vance again gave his full-throated support to his baby sis:

Quite the ultimatum! No word on Vance’s eventual friend count after he posted that message on Tuesday afternoon, but it’s definitely clear where he stands!
What about U, Perezcious readers? Do U think things can change on The Ellen Show, or is the whole environment toxic now no matter what?
