Kiefer Sutherland FORCED To Cancel US Tour After Low Ticket Sales As Social Media Blames The 'Economy We're In Now'

Kiefer Sutherland will no longer be hitting the road, at least in the US!

Earlier this year, the actor/country crooner announced he would be traveling across America in June and July for the Love Will Bring You Home Tour. But unfortunately for the (few) fans who bought tickets, Kiefer just cancelled the whole thing! Surprisingly, he’s not out here blaming it on wanting more family time, needing to work on more music, exhaustion, or whatever excuse other artists pull out at the last minute! He was straight-up with fans and told them on Instagram on Friday that it is due to low ticket sales:

“With great disappointment I am going to have to cancel the US leg of my tour due to very low ticket sales. I don’t think it’s fair to the people who have bought tickets, or the venues, to play to half empty houses. I look forward to touring the United States again at a more suitable time. I hope you understand.”

Kiefer also noted that “refunds will be available from point of purchase.” See the statement (below):

People who planned to attend a show are naturally disappointed! However, others in the comments noted they simply couldn’t afford to go in the first place! Between the high gas and grocery prices alone, many folks sadly can’t spend the money on anything extra right now:

“This is happening to so many great bands and artists. It’s not a shift in popularity, people just don’t have money and time right now for fun and it’s very sad”

“Really sad about this one, but thanks for your transparency”

“I think most of us in the US are unfortunately having to choose between daily necessities and doing the fun things and seeing the shows we would like to. I certainly hope to see you perform one day”

“Honesty … gotta respect that. Sucks for band and crew though.”

“It’s just how the economy is right now. Sorry to hear the news of course.”

“Can’t afford tickets when we can’t afford gas.”

“Don’t take it personally… $$ tight in the USA right now”

“I know you must be disappointed but I hope you’ll consider that the economy is really rough in the U.S. and isn’t indicative of your fans’ enthusiasm! I had tickets to two shows, so plenty of disappointment here!”

“Thank you for being transparent. It’s not you, it’s the economy right now. Book smaller venues, youll do great!”

“Unfortunately tickets are too much for people to enjoy a show. Economy is bad.”

“Sadly the economy here is in terrible shape and many folks are really having to cut back on shows and events.”

What a shame! Reactions, Perezcious readers? Sound OFF in the comments!
