Kim Kardashian West is a sneaky, sneaky girl!
Before ending her quickly-ill-fated 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries way back when (doesn’t 2011 seem like a simpler time?!), the star had to really work to hide Humphries’ engagement ring from then-friend Kanye West!!

Speaking on Big Boy’s Neighborhood radio show in a new interview this week, Kim revealed how she used to have to go to great lengths to hide that diamond ring from the rapper so as not to break his heart — once she figured out he was interested in her romantically!
Kimmie explained how she first realized she had to sheild the ring while presenting at an award show (below):
“So I am presenting the award. And the award was, Kanye was nominated. So I see him backstage. We end up both at the Soho House and he sat at my table and I had my big ring on cause I was married. So I am talking with my ring and I talk with my hands a lot so I am talking, and I just see him looking at my ring and his face would just get heartbroken. So I sat on my hand for the rest of the dinner and spoke like this with one hand.”
Awwww!
Kanye sure does wear his emotions on his sleeve, doesn’t he?!

Kim quickly caught on that Kanye was interested in her at the time, she recalled, even though nothing happened between them until after her marriage to Humphries was over (below):
“I caught onto that. We look back now, and I guess him and his best friend had a convo and he was like, ‘Dude. We’re at a restaurant together. She just got married like two weeks ago.’ Nothing went down. Nothing happened. But then I went to New York and started filming [Kourtney and Kim Take New York] and I was like, ‘I’m miserable.’ I made the wrong decision. You know, I fucked up and went a different direction and realized I fucked up pretty soon.”
