The Kardashians really do know everyone.
During The Kardashians season 6 premiere on Hulu on Thursday, momager Kris Jenner opens up about a surprising connection she has to another famous Los Angeles family… Or should we say infamous? In conversation with Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, the matriarch reveals she personally knew Erik and Lyle Menendez, the brothers who were sent to prison decades ago for murdering their parents José and Kitty Menendez. According to her, Erik regularly played tennis with Robert Kardashian Sr. in the ‘80s! She tells the SKIMS founder:
“I knew those guys … Erik used to come over and play tennis with your dad on the weekends.”
What?! That’s wild! The murder happened in 1989, so Kim could have only been 9 at the oldest. But she still remembers hearing their names! At least after the trial got started… She tells Kris:
“I remember my dad talking about the case. I remember the whole case, growing up in Beverly Hills.”

In a confessional, she adds:
“The trial, I think happened when I was like 13. So, you know there were big cases that I would love to talk to my dad about.”
But now more than three decades later, the aspiring lawyer has a whole new perspective:
“Being older and seeing it from a different lens and knowing that I know now about the system, I just have a whole different outlook on it.”
We previously covered Kim’s advocacy for Erik and Lyle’s release from prison. In October, she wrote in an NBC op-ed:
“I have spent time with Lyle and Erik. They are kind, intelligent, and honest men.”
Kim — and many others — believe the killings are “not excusable,” but the justice system “should not deny who they are today in their 50s.”
Reactions, Perezcious readers?? Are you surprised?!
