Kim Kardashian Sues Makeup App For $10 Million -- Wait 'Til You Hear The Company's Defense!

Kim kardashian west stolen makeup photo lawsuit

Don’t come for Kim Kardashian West if you’re not ready to pay the price… all eight figures!

The KUWTK star and worldwide, world-famous beauty mogul is going after a makeup app for allegedly jacking one of her pics — and she’s suing them for $10 million because of it! Worse yet, though — and maybe most offensive to Kim, TBH — is the app claims they had no idea who she was when they allegedly used her pic without authorization!!!

According to her lawsuit, iHandy allegedly used a 2017 photo of the makeup mogul to promote their beauty manipulation app, as well as a makeup line of their own. Now, not only was it an unlicensed, unauthorized commercial use of one of her pics (bad!), but it was also a direct use of a picture KKW herself had been using to promote her own makeup line. Seriously, y’all?! How much more ridiculous can it get??

Oh, wait, we actually have the answer to that one: the app’s legal defense is that they can’t be at fault for using the pic because they claim they had no idea it was Kanye West‘s wife. Whaaaaaa???

The reality TV superstar’s lawsuit alludes to it in court docs, stating (below):

“Defendant [iHandy] claim, absurdly, as its alleged defense … that they didn’t know that the unlicensed, unauthorized photo they knowingly stole and misappropriated was that of [Kim Kardashian West] … one of the most famous and recognizable women in the world … [iHandy] even had the audacity to threaten [Kim Kardashian West] not to bring claims against them for their blatant infringement, or they would go after her.”

WTF!!!

Isn’t that what’s known in the legal business as the Mariah Carey defense?! LOLz!!!

It’s one thing to use an unauthorized pic, but to claim you had no idea about the star? As a makeup company? In 2019? Please…

Here’s the pic in question from way back in 2017 that set off the $10 million lawsuit, BTW (below):

Always beautiful!

And as you can see from screenshots, there’s no question iHandy took that exact pic for their own use (below):

Yeah…

Now, it’s just a question of whether Kimmie can prove in a court of law that it’s actually worth $10 million of damage to her brand — or, more likely if the parties can draw up some kind of agreement and settle out of court or something.

But regardless of how the legal wrangling on this one plays out… what a ridiculous situation!

Reactions, Perezcious readers?! Sound OFF with all of it in the comments (below)!!!
