Kim Kardashian West endures a health scare on the new season of KUWTK.
On Thursday, a new teaser trailer for the show’s 17th season was released, documenting Kanye West‘s wife’s possible lupus diagnosis.

In one scene, the 38-year-old is seen at a doctor’s office, getting x-rays. She can be heard saying:
“I feel this in my bones. I probably have lupus.”
In another moment, mom Kris Jenner tries to calm her down, exclaiming:
“Let’s stay positive until we get some results.”
Per the Lupus Foundation of America, lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease which can damage any part of the body — including one’s skin, joints, and/or organs. Symptoms — such as joint pain, fever, fatigue, and rashes — can last longer than six weeks, and sometimes for many years.
Per the Mayo Clinic, the disease is likely caused by the environment, and/or one’s genetics.
The illness is not contagious, and cannot be spread through sexual contact. Though the ailment could be fatal, many with the diagnosis can still live a full life.
While there is no cure, treatments may include steroids and immunosuppressant drugs.

In the trailer, momager Kris also gets emotional over rumors she got intimate with deceased ex-husband Robert Kardashian Sr.‘s friend/client O.J. Simpson.
The 63-year-old remarked to daughter Khloé Kardashian:
“They printed a story I was sleeping with O.J. After 25 years, you would think it wouldn’t be a thing.”
However, in June on Twitter, the disgraced former football player posted a video where he denied having an affair with Jenner. Additionally, he shot down rumors he is Khloé’s father.
“The Juice” divulged:
“Bob Kardashian was like a brother to me. He was a great guy. He met and married Kris, and they really had a terrific time together when they were together, and unfortunately, that ended. But never — and I want to stress, never — in any way shape or form had I ever had any interest in Kris romantically or sexually and I never got any indication that she had any interest in me. So, all of these stories are just bogus and bad and tasteless. Khloé, like all the girls, I’m very proud of, just like I know Bob would be if he was here. But, the simple facts of the matter is she’s not mine.”
Robert was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in July 2003, and passed away less than eight weeks later on September 30, 2003. He was 59.
