It’s a ladies trip for the Real Housewives of Atlanta, which means drama is a-brewin’.
During Sunday’s showing of RHOA, most of the Georgia peaches hopped on a plane and headed to Barcelona. Of course, the big getaway caused gossip and tensions to arise. Both Kenya Moore and Kim Zolciak-Biermann chose to stay behind, causing peers NeNe Leakes, Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Sheree Whitfield, and Porsha Williams to be divided on the issue.

Why?? Well, because, most of the ladies were understanding about Kenya’s explanation for staying behind, but were less sympathetic to Kim’s reasoning.
For Moore, the former beauty queen chose to stay back in ATL as she wanted to avoid fights about her marriage to Marc Daly. She admitted:
“I passed on Barcelona because I have been on two trips already with these ladies and each have had negative components… My priority is my family.”
Fair enough. Close gal pal Bailey supported her friend’s decision fully, as she told the cameras:
“Kenya’s at a point in her life where she just got married, she’s happy. So if I can’t get Kenya to allow me to meet her husband in the United States, how in the hell am I supposed to convince her to come to Barcelona if she doesn’t want to go.”
Funny, but true.
After saying that she didn’t want to go on an overseas trip without husband Kroy Biermann, Mrs. Zolciak-Biermann wasn’t met with as much understanding from her peers. On why she wanted Kroy by her side, Kim explained:
“Less than two years ago, I had a stroke coming from L.A. which is a four-hour flight. Going to Barcelona, which is a 10-hour flight, does make me nervous. I know that my husband would make sure I’m okay. He knows what signs to look for. ├óΓé¼┬ª It makes me very uneasy.”
This makes sense. She later said to the cast:
“I don’t know why it’s an issue to bring Kroy. He’s my husband. I don’t understand what the problem is.”
The housewives were split on the issue as Williams, Whitfield, and Bailey all were indifferent to Kroy’s presence. Bailey added:
“This trip is a girlfriends trip. However, I know when it comes to Kim, her idea of girlfriends is her and her girlfriends and Kroy. I have no energy to go back and forth about it. She wants to bring Kroy, bring Kroy.”
Sheree quipped that Kim likes “to bring Kroy everywhere she goes,” which she understands since she too “likes to be spoiled.” Nonetheless, pressure from Leakes and others made it impossible for Kroy and Kim to join in on the fun.
Kim’s absence made NeNe VERY happy, as she dished:
“Kim is not coming, which I think is amazing. She was going to come and Kroy was going to come. But really, it’s a girl’s trip. And I don’t think that anyone should have to travel on this trip if they cannot travel without their significant other…. I think it’s the strangest thing that she cannot leave and travel without Kroy. She can’t travel without Kroy? That is so stupid.”
Man, oh man. Burruss was also against Kroy’s presence on the vacay:
“If Kim wanted to come on the trip with her husband, than stay at home. It’s a girl’s trip. Kim is always the one who feels like she doesn’t have to follow the rules. Which is fine. You don’t have to hang out with the circle.”
It probably didn’t help that Kim has been previously difficult about cast trips.
