Donald Trump reportedly wanted to help fix the royal family feud… but would he go to these great lengths to accomplish that??
Trump and King Charles III really bonded last month when His Majesty stopped by the White House for a few events. But in between cracking a ton of jokes, it turns out Charles made a wild request from the Prez! He wants Trump’s help fixing the royal rift, Radar Online sources claimed on Monday:
“The king and the president have become good friends at this point and routinely share private conversations about matters that are close to their hearts. … This trip provided them with the opportunity to do just that about a number of matters, including Charles’ difficult situation with [Prince] Harry.”

Apparently, during the trip, Charles opened up about how his ongoing estrangement from Harry weighs on him, especially after his cancer diagnosis. All he wants is for his youngest son to return to England, but he needs help if he’s going to make that happen soon, the insider said:
“They talked about it, agreeing it’s the elephant in the room that needs to be addressed before things slide any further out of hand. Charles laid it all on the table.”
One option put on the table was the idea that the Duke of Sussex could be forcefully pushed out of the States and back to his home country! Yes, Charles apparently floated the idea of Trump deporting his son! You see, from the King’s POV, this would get Harry home in a more subtle way, at least where the royal family is concerned. It’d look forced — not negotiated.
“If he were to be deported… it would actually be the ideal situation from the royals’ point of view. If it happens this way nobody, even Prince William, can argue because it’s a solution that’s been forced on the family. Plus, if it gets Harry away from Meghan [Markle], that’s the ultimate win.”
Ouch!
The insider added that “this is the king’s way of getting his son back” without looking like the bad guy.
Trump’s always been outspoken against the Suits alum, but he’s shut down previous efforts to get Harry deported over concerns he lied about illegal drug use on his visa application. But he is joking about the Brits taking Harry back. Maybe he’d try something??
If so, the insider thinks Charles wants this to happen within about 90 days, meaning Harry would be home for summer! Either way, he will be as he’s expected to travel to England this summer for the one-year countdown to the upcoming Invictus Games. It’s the perfect time for Harry to prove he wants to reconcile with his father, and the source noted he “seems determined not to… derail the fragile progress he’s made.”
William’s feelings, however, have “not changed,” the confidant expressed:
“He’s told Charles time and again that Harry still needs to be taken away and that the family needs a clean, proper break. It’s put Charles in a terrible position to be caught between his children.”
And this would also put more strain on Harry’s marriage, as Meghan would NOT stand by a forced removal calmly:
“It would be the worst possible scenario. She would do everything in her power to fight it.”
But:
“Ultimately, it wouldn’t be her decision, and she knows it.”
Oof!
All that said, a rep for Harry and Meghan denied these claims.
We’ll see if Trump ever actually puts anything into motion. If anything, the royal men should just talk to each other — if they want to reconcile so badly, it’d be better to do it without the added drama, stress, and media frenzy!
