Recently, KStew visited the Variety Studio in Sundance to promote her new film Certain Women, and was asked about the issue. Let’s just say her response may surprise you.
First, the 25-year-old concedes that she is a highly paid, in-demand actress who hasn’t experienced the same prejudices that other thespians have faced.
She said :

“It’s hard for me to speak to that, because, it’s awkward, I’m so fucking lucky and so stimulated and driven, like not bored, and I have something in front of me all the time. It sounds weird for me to sit around and be like, ├óΓé¼╦£It’s not fair!’ Guys make more money because their movies make more money. Let’s start making more movies. It makes sense.”

However, the Los Angeles-native doesn’t believe the solution is discontent; the answer is action!

“Instead of sitting around and complaining about that, do something├óΓé¼┬ª Go write something, go do something.”

Although the Twilight star acknowledges that this advice is easier said than done, she is totally over this conversation.

“And that’s easy to say├óΓé¼┬ª Like, f├óΓé¼ΓÇ£k, it’s hard to get movies made. It’s a huge luxury. Who gets to just make movies? But that subject is just so prevalently everywhere right now, and it’s boring.”

Whether you agree or disagree, you have to respect the fact that she speaks her mind.
