Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler are getting divorced.
The reality TV star and social media mainstay announced it officially on her Instagram page on Sunday morning, and her soon-to-be-ex husband quickly followed suit. The pair has been together for more than ten years; they also share three children together.

Explaining the decision to split after a decade together, the SoCal native opened up to fans about moving on from the former NFL star, writing (below):
“With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.”
Wow. Talk about unexpected news this Sunday morning; obviously we don’t know all that goes on behind the scenes but it’s not like there were major indications that something like this was coming. Sad stuff!
The 33-year-old Cavallari also included this picture along with that message, as well, showing her and the 36-year-old former football quarterback walking off arm in arm away from the camera:
Sad, sad stuff. To their credit, at least these two were apparently able to keep things amicable and friendly — at least judging by what the official divorce message sounds like here. They’ll need to be modestly friendly with each other, after all: they now have three kids to raise and co-parent together from here: sons Camden, 7, and Jaxon, 5, and 4-year-old daughter Saylor.
Our thoughts are with their family as they navigate this difficult time — particularly with the kids, of course, as this will affect them in many ways going forward. Ugh. Sad to see!

Of course, Cavallari and Cutler had most recently made headlines for a botched three-plus-week-long quarantine down in the Bahamas right at the start of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the Western Hemisphere. They returned home to the US from that earlier this month, and we figured they’d be laying low for some time after… but yet, here we are.
