Adele's Divorce Will Be Private - But She Reportedly Didn't Sign A Prenup & May Need To Give Up HALF Her Fortune!

Details of Adele‘s divorce from ex Simon Konecki are beginning to surface — and from what it sounds like, this thing could cost the iconic singer a pretty penny! (Or, pound, as it were!)

The 31-year-old superstar songstress had been married to Konecki, the CEO of a non-profit org, for three years from 2016 to 2019 before they split up. They’d been together in total for eight years, of course, and share a 7-year-old son, Angelo, who was born back in 2012.

But from what it sounds like, it’s not the divorce itself or even child custody that’s proving contentious; all accounts suggest a relative calm between the parties. Rather, the issue at hand here is a financial one: according to a report from the UK publication The Sun, the now estranged couple apparently didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement ahead of their marriage, and so it turns out Adele could wind up parting with a LOT of assets! Whoa!

Tracking is going to prove tough to follow from here, though, as aside from highly-specific media reports like that not much more is likely to come out in this case. That’s because a divorce court in Los Angeles has granted that the details of the couple’s split will remain private.

According to the same media outlet, an LA judge has ruled “financial, sales or other confidential business information” pertaining to the pair’s divorce proceedings will be kept completely private, and those given access (lawyers, etc.) will be made to sign a non-disclosure agreement before seeing documents and such.

Smart move!!! So, it sounds like things are going to be pretty quiet from here on divorce front for the Skyfall singer, ya know?!

Still, the idea of not signing a prenup even as the pop queen’s net worth has reached into the hundreds of millions of pounds… WOW!!! Looks like Simon is in for quite a payday, doesn’t it? We do know Adele has been remarkably generous with her ex-husband in the recent past, though, so perhaps things won’t be quite as contentious and controversial as you might imagine with a divorce case of this magnitude?
