Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and perhaps a side of drama completes a wedding! Dua Lipa had all of that, whether she realizes it or not!
As you likely know, the pop star tied the knot with Callum Turner in not one but two weddings a few weeks ago after only two years of dating. Before there was Dua, however, the actor had been involved with none other than Kylie Jenner‘s former assistant and best friend, Victoria Villarroel.

Although the pair never confirmed the relationship, they were reportedly together in 2023 — right before he started seeing the Training Season artist. And they seemingly didn’t end on good terms because Victoria threw massive shade at Callum months ago on her and Stassie Karanikolaou‘s podcast Better Half. The episode has resurfaced on social media following the nuptials because, although she doesn’t name names, fans are convinced the two are referring to the Green Room star! They’re also super pissed about what she had to say about him!
In February, Stassie brought up Victoria’s ex-boyfriend on the podcast to slam him for acting like a completely different man with his current partner:
“Vic’s ex-British boy was so – the way that he was with you and the things that he said he wanted and didn’t want out of his life compared to him now is the complete 360, full turnaround, or 180, or whatever it is, of the opposite of what he said he wanted with you.”
Because of that, Victoria cannot help but wonder now if he was “lying” to her about what he really wanted:
“So that’s why I’m like who were you then? Like were you lying to me because that’s what you actually wanted? This man would be like, ‘I would never date somebody that gets paparazzi’d. I would never date a famous person. I would never go to the Met Gala. That’s corny.'”
They weren’t being subtle with the hints! Damn! Dua and Callum’s relationship is very public. They are constantly paparazzi’d because Dua is a huge star. She’s posting pictures of them on Instagram all the time. Heck, they even went to the Met Gala together! It’s all adding up that the ex they’re bashing is Callum!
But if you need another hint, here’s it! Victoria went on to say that her “ex-boyfriend is now engaged to someone who he met while he was having dinner with [her],” adding:
“She sat next to us at this restaurant in London, which is crazy. Every time any of my friends have issues with their ex-boyfriends, I just talk about my ex-boyfriend and what I go through, so they can, like, feel better about, like, you know, what it could be. It actually could be worse, because I’m living it, you know.”
That lines up with Dua’s story of how she first met Callum! In June 2025, she told British Vogue that she was introduced to the Emma star while at The River Cafe by the restaurant’s cofounder, Ruth Rogers. The performer was having dinner with her dad, while “he was out with friends.” And his girlfriend, apparently! (And FYI, don’t panic, as we’ve seen online! The book story is still true! They bumped into each other again following their brief encounter at the restaurant, where they found out they were reading the same book.)
Victoria also shared that her ex – AKA Callum – made her “super insecure” because he wouldn’t let her post photos of them on Instagram… but Dua gets to post about their relationship all the time:
“My ex British guy would not he wouldn’t let me post photos of us together on Instagram cause he respected our relationship so much that he was like, ‘This is so safe for me.” And I was like, ‘Oh my god, you’re so beautiful.” Later on, I’m like, ‘Wait a damn minute. He’s posting that girl.’ I’m like, damn. Like, it was me. You didn’t want to post with me.”

As we mentioned, clips of the conversation started circulating online this week after Dua and Callum’s wedding! Now, the performer’s fans are defending him and going after Victoria for talking about her relationship with the Masters of the Air alum! Some are going as far as to call Ky’s bestie a “bitter” and “jealous” ex! Ouch! See the Reddit reactions:
“Honestly it sucks for her and I don’t begrudge her for feeling bitter but he didn’t cheat and sometimes it just happens that you meet someone and know they’re a better match for you than the person you’re already with.”
“It sounds like Callum is just so happy to be with Dua that he no longer cares about paparazzi or thinking the Met Gala is corny.”

The last part of the comment is not wrong! Victoria is allowed to talk about her exes, people! Just like everyone else!
