Is Kylie Jenner Ruining Timothée Chalamet's Chances At Winning An Oscar - Or Is He Doing A Fine Job Of That All On His Own?

Uh oh… Could Kylie Jenner be holding back Timothée Chalamet from achieving his Oscars dreams??

According to an insider for Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice, the Khy founder could be a big problem when it comes to Timmy finally getting that Oscar he’s been striving for. Hmm.. blaming the girlfriend? But how so?

Well, as you know, instead of having Kylie on him arm at the Actor Awards, he instead brought his mom Nicole Flender. Now, fans know this is tradition for him. That ceremony is reserved for his momma!

Still, an insider dished earlier this week:

“That was intentional. Bringing his mom sends a message. It softens him. It reminds voters he’s a serious actor — not half of a celebrity super-couple.”

Hmmm…

The source went on to suggest that Timothée wants to get some of the “focus” of his romantic life amid his campaign:

“This was about credibility. About craft. About getting the focus back on the work.”

Which… Even if this is true, he’s not doing a great job at that himself! He’s got the ballet and opera communities fired up right now! If he loses the Oscar, it’ll likely be all on his own!

But as far as Kylie? This insider said him bringing his mom was “absolutely” as strategic as it was sweet:

“He knows the race is tight. Every image counts. Every headline counts.”

Does the insider know he usually brings his mom? The source alluded to some tension with Timmy and his public image. They said:

“Walking in with his mom says, ‘I’m grounded. I’m grateful. I’m here for the art.’ It’s a reset without saying a word.”

Ouch! Poor Kylie!

If this is true, it’s not good… We mean, that’s gotta sting. Super harsh.

BUT.. we’ve been betting he and Kylie will make a GRAND entrance at the Oscars, so we’ll see! And if he loses that night, it won’t be about her. Especially not after THOSE ballet comments!
