Sounds like this is going to be something really special!
Last week, we were VERY excited when Grand Central Publishing announced that Terry Richardson would be collaborating with Lady GaGa on a book of photographs, which is scheduled to be published on Nov 22.
As a reminder, the book will include over 350 color and black & white photos taken during a “10 month period in which Richardson followed Lady Gaga and had complete access to her everyday life, with nothing being off limits.”
Now, GaGa has opened up about the book, and she seems to have truly exposed herself for this project…like NO HOLDS BARRED!
Here’s what she had to say about it:
“I didn├óΓé¼Γäót hold anything back from Terry. He was with me every minute, every moment. He has photographs of me waking up in the morning, brushing my teeth, in the bathroom, in the bathtub. And the thing about Terry, if you know anything about his photography, is that nothing is staged.”
“What I love so much about Terry is that he thinks everything is so beautiful. I├óΓé¼Γäóm always, ‘Oh Terry, get out of here,’ and he├óΓé¼Γäós like, ‘Oh, it├óΓé¼Γäós so beautiful, let me just shoot it.’ I felt so comfortable with Terry. I love him so much. He├óΓé¼Γäós a really close friend, and I feel honored that he traveled with me.”
“My favorite thing, honestly, is that he loved the fans. He shot the fans the same way he shot me: with no pretense. No ‘Well, she├óΓé¼Γäós put out records and they haven’t.’ None of that. The music was all of ours. He would come backstage and he would say, ‘Oh my God, the fans!’ And I├óΓé¼Γäód say, ‘I know what you just photographed.’ And he├óΓé¼Γäód say, ‘Baby, wow!’ And then he├óΓé¼Γäód film me, like, peeing in a cup and, like, ridiculous things.”
How could you possibly be anything but intrigued after reading all of that?
